Hey hey! Happy Friday! 🙂

It’s chilly over here! Definitely the kind of day I could spend snuggled on the couch under a blanket.

It was a little rough getting up this morning but I forced myself to brave the cold and made it to my Kosama class since I didn’t want to skip two days in a row. Small confession: I passed on yesterday’s workout in part because my back was hurting but mostly because it was kettlebells (<—hate). So imagine my surprise when I arrived this morning and found these:


I must have read the schedule wrong.

I’m not sure what it is but I really despise using kettlebells. I’ve only tried them a few times with my trainer and twice now through Kosama. I just think they’re awkward to handle and I really prefer traditional weights to these clunky things – they flop all over the place and I just feel like they’re out to get me. Luckily we cut this morning’s weights workout short for a lengthy abs session (<— love abs. Now we’re talking ;)).

Post workout snack:

{cold oats with almond butter, raspberry jelly, almond milk and a sprinkles of cranberry granola on top}

On a brighter note I also made it to my favorite spin class last night and as always the playlist was random and rocking (Lady Gaga, AC/DC, Flo Rida), the energy was high (fist pumps from the instructor) and I was 100% glad I went. Workout win. 🙂

Well I’m back to work – my back is still bugging me so getting through the day is the name of the game. 😉

Question: I have had chronic back pain off/on for several years (my back always seems to be my *weak* spot) and a couple MRIs have shown I definitely have some wacky discs. I’ve been thinking of trying to get more regular massages (my massage from last week got postponed until next Tuesday) but I’m also kind of interested in trying acupuncture. Have any of you guys tried it? Thoughts??
