Busy day over here today!

This morning we headed over to Petco Park to pick up our race packets.

After picking up our bib numbers, we walked around the race expo for a little bit checking out the booths. We scored some fun free stuff and I bought a running pouch to store some essentials in tomorrow (ID, money, phone, honey stingers).

We took a sneak peak at the finish line.

All runners receive a big stadium finish at the end of the race – we’re going to be all-stars. 🙂

After the expo, and lots more walking cardio, we hit up the pool to relax and catch a little sun.

(Whole Foods glowing green smoothie in hand)

It was still a little chilly for laying out but between walking around and laying poolside we managed to get some color today.

For dinner we went out for Ethiopian food at a place called Mutzita. My sister had tried it for the first time a few weeks back and was a fan. I had never eaten Ethiopian before but it was delicious.

We ordered a big plate to share that came with the following: salata (salad) tofu, seasoned ground chickpeas, red lentils and roasted vegetables. Everything is served on a plate of injera, a spongy teff flour flatbread that you use to scoop your veggies, sauces etc.

Carb loading? 🙂

Lastly, before heading home we stopped over to Target to pick up a few last minute items including our race t-shirts (mine’s on the right).

(My sister vetoed the ‘Team Edward/Team Jacob’ shirts. I can’t imagine why…)

Now it’s time for some stretching then off to bed – this girl’s exhausted!

Night! 🙂

Question of the night: What’s the most exotic food you’ve ever eaten? I’ll try pretty much anything but for me, Ethiopian food has got to be up there.

And also – just for kicks – Team Edward or Team Jacob? Come on, you saw that one coming… 😉
