Hi my name is Kristi.
I’m a *mother* of two dogs, Alan and Eddy..
and a one-eyed cat, Smush.
I love cooking and eating good food
and being healthy and active.
I’m also a veterinarian with a full time work schedule.
I have a *major* sweet tooth as the title of my blog suggests. And although I strive to make healthy choices most of the time, I definitely indulge every now and then…
I used to run around filled with worry and anxiety about not being where I wanted to be in life, feeling guilty for eating *bad* foods, beating myself up with negative talk, my mind burdened with all the things I felt I needed to do or accomplish by a certain age or time. I have seen many other working medical professionals, going through their daily grind for years, believing that a stress filled life was the only way. I knew I didn’t want to head down that road and I also sensed there could and should be more to life. Over the past few years, through some trial and error, I’ve started to find my own way of getting the most out of life. As a result, I’m beginning to see a much more exciting and enjoyable picture taking shape. Now I believe it’s possible for me, and for you too.
What I’m starting to realize is that it’s about being aware of your choices and finding the right balance. What I’ve learned (and continue to learn) about health and wellness has made my life sweeter and I hope that sharing my experience will help you to do the same. Thank you for allowing me to share my recipes, antics and healthy living advice (with some pet health tips sprinkled in of course!). I hope you’ll come along with me as I learn to relax and enjoy the sweeter side of life.
Like anything else, this blog is a work in progress so I appreciate your helpful comments and suggestions. 🙂
